The Wesley Group was established in 2006 by Beverly Wesley to provide warm, friendly communications support to businesses and non-profit organizations. The Wesley Group is a refreshing alternative to large public relations firms. With low overhead and a wealth of experience, The Wesley Group can provide comparable services at lower prices.

Since 1973, Wesley has worked in the fields of broadcast media, communications, project management, marketing, event management, corporate training and supplier diversity management. She began her career as news director for WSOK-Radio in Savannah, Georgia. In 1974, she entered into television as a news anchor for Savannah ABC affiliate WJCL-TV Evening News. During her broadcasting days, she hosted a weekly interview show, “Beverly Wesley’s Black Journal,” and produced an award-winning documentary for Georgia Public Television titled “Child Abuse in Georgia.” From 1978 to 1983, she hosted a live weekly talk show for Georgia Public Television in Atlanta, and moderated the Atlanta Mayoral Debates and the U.S. Senatorial Debate on WSB-TV.

During her 28-year tenure with Fortune 100 companies, Wesley held positions in employee communications, public relations, marketing, executive support and corporate supplier diversity management. Wesley has extensive experience in planning large business conferences and events for corporations and non-profits. In 2004, Beverly was recognized by the Georgia Women’s Business Council (GWBC) for demonstrating unusual efforts to mentor, coach and support women-owned business enterprises. She also received the GWBC Chairman’s Award as the most valuable member of the Board of Directors.

A native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Wesley holds a Bachelor of Science in Management and a Master of Arts in Organizational Management from Shorter College in Rome, Georgia. She is a member of Sigma Beta Delta, the International Honor Society in Business, Management and Administration.
